เมื่อระหว่างวันที่ 29 กันยายน - 6 ตุลาคม 2566 สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ด้วยความร่วมมือจากค่ายมวยลานนาไฟท์ติ้ง จังหวัดพะเยา ได้จัดโครงการส่งเสริมมวยไทยในคูเวต โดยครูมวย 3 คน ได้แก่ นายวิทวัส ค้าสม นายอนุสรณ์ อินใจ และนางสาวพัทธนันท์ นวนประโคน เดินทางไปจัดกิจกรรมมวยไทย ได้แก่ การแสดงมวยไทยที่ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตแก่คณะทูตอาเซียน ผู้คร่ำหวอดในวงการมวยไทยในคูเวต และสื่อมวลชนคูเวต นอกจากนั้นครูมวยได้ให้สัมภาษณ์แก่สื่อมวลชนและออกรายการ Good Morning Kuwait ทางสถานีโทรทัศน์ช่อง KTV2 เมื่อวันที่ 3 ตุลาคม 2566 ครูมวยได้ไปสอนมวยไทยแก่ค่ายมวยและสถานออกกำลังกาย 6 แห่งในคูเวต

โครงการดังกล่าวได้ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชาชนกับประชาชนไทยกับคูเวต มวยไทยทวีความนิยมอย่างมากทุกเพศทุกวัยในคูเวต ซึ่งมีการเรียนและซ้อมทั้งในคูเวตและเดินทางไปประเทศไทย เพื่อเพิ่มพูนทักษะกีฬาการต่อสู้และการออกกำลังกายเพื่อสุขภาพพลานามัย ด้วยแนวโน้มความนิยมมวยไทยในคูเวตและประเทศต่าง ๆ ทั้งโลก ประเทศไทยจึงหวังว่า มวยไทยจะได้รับการบรรจุในกีฬาระหว่างประเทศในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้

Kuwait, 29 September - 6 October 2023. The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Lanna Fighting Camp sucessfully organized a series of Muay Thai and Thai martial arts cultural programs and training sessions by three Muay Thai teachers and trainers. The Royal Thai Embassy presented the Muay Thai demonstration at the Ambassador's residence for the ASEAN Ambassadors and media representatives. The Muay Thai teachers also gave an interview for Good Morning Kuwait program at KTV2 on 3 October 2023. As Muay Thai is gaining popularity among sports lovers and martial arts fans in Kuwait, the Muay Thai master classes were organized at 6 gyms and training centers by the three teachers during which the Muay Thai postures as well as the ritual of Waikru were taught.

The Muay Thai promotion activities in Kuwait have greatly contributed to the promotion of Thai culture and people-to-people ties. Muay Thai becomes one of the popular combat sports in Kuwait as there are increasing numbers of Kuwaiti men, women and youth expressing their interest to learn and practice Muay Thai in Kuwait and in Thailand. They enjoy practicing Muay Thai for not only fighting or combat sport but also exercises for good health. With this rising trend in Kuwait and around the world, Thailand wishes to see Muay Thai be one of the selected sports to be included in international games in the near future.
