To celebrate the auspicious occasion of the Songkran Festival 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait hosted a traditional bathing buddha statue ceremony for the Thai community. This celebratory gathering served as a vital platform for the Embassy to engage with Thai nationals, facilitating an informative exchange of experiences and insights regarding life in Kuwait. The event was characterized by a warm and convivial atmosphere, fostering a strong sense of community and solidarity. The Embassy extends its sincere appreciation to all attendees for their presence and for their generous contributions of food and refreshments, which greatly enhanced the spirit of the celebration. Furthermore, the Embassy conveys its warmest regards and best wishes for the Thai New Year to all community members, including those who were unable to participate in the event.
In light of the Kuwaiti current regulations on public gatherings restriction, the traditional ceremony was conducted in strict compliance with the relevant safety measures.
On this occasion, the Embassy also invited representatives from friendly countries that observe similar traditions during Songkran to participate in the ceremony at the Ambassador’s residence, with a view to further strengthening the cordial relations and mutual understanding between Thailand and its international partners.
