On 21 April 2026, His Excellency Mr. Songchai Chaipatiyut, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Kuwait, formally presented his Letter of Credence to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, at Bayan Palace.

During the audience, His Highness the Amir extended an official welcome to Ambassador Songchai upon the commencement of his diplomatic duties in Kuwait. Both sides reaffirmed the longstanding and close relations between Thailand and Kuwait, characterized by over six decades of friendship, cooperation, and mutual support across various fields. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and the assistance extended by the Kuwaiti authorities in facilitating his arrival and the care delivered to Thai community, particularly under challenging circumstances. The Ambassador also conveyed his strong commitment to further enhancing and sustaining the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
