On 14 July 2026, Mrs. Uraiwan Courtaud, Minister Counsellor, and Ms. Kanyawee Srikulwong, Second Secretary, led a delegation of Kuwaiti representatives from the government, business and media sectors to pay a courtesy call on Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isma-ae Ali, Chairman of Halal Affairs Department and the executives of the Halal Affairs Department, Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) at CICOT Office.

During this meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isma-ae welcomed the delegation from Kuwait and highlighted key information regarding Muslim communities in Thailand, the founding of CICOT and Thai Halal certification and monitoring which is recognised by international accreditation bodies including GCC Accreditation Center (GAC).

On the same day, the delegation visited the CPF Minburi Food Processing factory and attended a briefing about the management of the food production and processing processes, particularly poultry, according to Halal standard.

This activity serves as an important opportunity to promote understanding of Kuwaiti partners regarding Thai Halal standard and explore export opportunities for Thai products in Kuwait market.
