On 25^th March – 1 April 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, led by H.E. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait, organised a Kuwait media trip to Thailand. Leading press in Kuwait sent their journalists to join the trip, such as; Kuwait TV, the TV station with the most viewers, Kuwait Times newspaper, the first English newspaper in the Gulf, Al Rai newspaper, the biggest Arabic language newspaper in Kuwait and Al Qabas newspaper, the second biggest Arabic language newspaper in Kuwait. The group paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as H.E. Abdullah Al-Shaarhan, Ambassador of Kuwait to Thailand, met with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, visited historical places of Ayutthaya Province and many tourist attraction spots and Thai Muslim communities in  Phang Nga Province. The Kuwaiti press also visited the facilities and discussed with executives of Betagro company and Piyavate hospital.

            The trip went successfully according to its purpose to provide the Kuwaiti press first handedly on the latest information and development in Thailand, especially in the area of tourism, so that these information are conveyed back to Kuwaitis. The trip could not be this successful without an excellent cooperation from all agencies involved. The delegation was warmly welcomed at every place they visited, including all the well-prepared programmes packed with briefings, questions and answers and useful information of each visit.
