On 13^th April 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with Thai Club in Kuwait, organised Songkran festival 2018 at Green Island with the participation of several ambassadors and staff of ASEAN and Asian countries as well as other 600 Thais in Kuwait, Kuwaitis and foreigners in Kuwait. The guests had enjoyed many activities and shows in a warm and friendly atmosphere which included Thai traditional music and dances,  water blessing, water splashing, rum-wong ,lucky draws, fruits and vegetables carving, Thai food, beverages and sweets. The Embassy organised Songkran festival yearly to inherit Thai traditions and promote Thai culture in Kuwait. This year, Thais and non-Thais beautifully wore traditional Thai dresses and Thai clothes.
