On 9 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Songchai Chaipatiyut, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand, met with H.E. Mr. Thang Duc Nguyen, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the State of Kuwait.

During the meeting, the Thai Ambassador extended his congratulations on the occasion of 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Kuwait diplomatic relations. In addition, the ambassadors also exchanged insights and assessment regarding the ongoing tensions in the region.
