สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ คูเวต ขอแสดงความยินดีต่อนักวิจัยจาก 3 สถาบัน ที่ได้รับรางวัลในงาน International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East จัดโดย Kuwait Science Club ในพระอุปถัมภ์ของเจ้าผู้ครองรัฐคูเวตระหว่างวันที่ 4 - 7 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 ที่คูเวต ดังนี้ 

1. รางวัลเหรียญเงิน จากการนำเสนอนวัตกรรม สารสกัดกาแฟและน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากดอกไม้และสมุนไพรไทย โดยผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. อาลักษณ์ ทิพยรัตน์ ภาควิชาวิศวกรรมอาหาร คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี

2. รางวัลเหรียญทองแดง จากการนำเสนอนวัตกรรมผลิตภัณฑ์ด้านการทำความสะอาดฆ่าเชื้อในรถพยาบาลโดยการใช้กระบวนการ Advanced Oxidation Process ในการฆ่าเชื้อโรคทั้งในพื้นผิวและอากาศภายในรถพยาบาล โดยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชวลิต รัตนธรรมสกุล คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และนางสาวพรรัตน์ ไชยมงคล นักวิทยาศาสตร์ปฏิบัติการ กรมวิทยาศาสตร์บริการ

3. รางวัลเหรียญทองแดง จากการนำเสนอประดิษฐกรรมเทคโนโลยีด้านการรักษาความมั่นคงปลอดภัยระบบอากาศยานไร้คนขับ Drone Detector and Drone Jamming System โดย ดร.โกเมน พิบูลย์โรจน์ บริษัท ที-เน็ต จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นบริษัท spin-off technology จากสำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ - สวทช.

ในการนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ มีโอกาสพูดคุยกับทีมนักวิจัยทั้งสามสถาบันเกี่ยวกับโอกาสความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับคูเวต ด้านนวัตกรรมและธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้อง และเชิญชวนเข้าร่วมโครงการ Soft Power ของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เกี่ยวกับนวัตกรรมและการสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อขยายเศรษฐสัมพันธ์และ/หรือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างไทยกับคูเวต ทั้งนี้ในพิธีเปิดงาน เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แจ้งความมุ่งมั่นของไทยเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านนวัตกรรมกับ นาย Adel Al-Adwani รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับการขับเคลื่อนความเจริญรุ่งเรืองและการพัฒนาของคูเวต ภายใต้ยุทธศาสตร์ Kuwait's 2035 Vision และเชิญชมประดิษฐกรรมและนวัตกรรมที่นักวิจัยไทยนำไปเสนอในงานนี้ด้วย

งานแสดงประดิษฐกรรมและนวัตกรรมระดับนานาชาติ International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East จัดโดย Kuwait Science Club นี้ นับว่าใหญ่เป็นอันดับสองรองจาก International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

Thai Invention and Innovation to Kuwait and the World

The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait would like to congratulate Thai researchers from 3 institutions who received awards at the 14th International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East, organized by the Kuwait Science Club under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, between 4 - 7 February 2024 in Kuwait.

1. Silver Medal Award to the invention and innovation of coffee extracts and essential oils of fragrance flowers and Thai herbs by Assistant Professor Dr. Aalak Thipayarat, Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi;

2. Bronze Medal Award to the invention and innovation of cleanliness and disinfection the microbial in ambulance, utilizing the Advanced Oxidation Process to eliminate pathogens both on surfaces and in the air within the ambulance by Professor Dr. Chawalit Rattanathamsakul, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University and Miss Bhornrat Chaimongkol, Department of Science Service;

3. Bronze Medal Award to the invention of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-Drone Detector and Drone Jamming System by Dr. Komen Phibunroj, T-Net Company Limited, a spin-off technology company of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).

On this occasion, H.E. Ekapol Poolpipat, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait discussed with the researcher teams about potentials to enhance economic and technical cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait by introducing Thailand's inventions and innovations to Kuwait's academic and business sectors. He also invited the Thai researchers to join the Embassy's soft power projects on invention, innovation and creativity so as to expand economic and/or technical cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait.

At the Opening Ceremony on 4 February 2024, H.E. the Ambassador met with H.E. Dr. Adel Mohammad Al-Adwani, Minister of Education, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and expressed Thailand's willingness to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of science, technology and innovation. H.E. the Ambassador also invited H.E. the Minister of Education, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kuwait to visit exhibitions by those Thai research institutions and company.
