On 27 August 2025, Mrs. Uraiwan Courtaud, Chargée d'Affaires a.i., paid a courtesy call on Mr. Osama Hamad Al-Makhyal, Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Sector, upon her assumption of duty.

On this occasion, both sides explored avenues to strengthen tourism cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait, and exchanged views on the potential and mutual interests of both countries. The Chargée d’Affaires a.i. also informed the Kuwaiti side of the Embassy’s upcoming project “Rediscovering Health and Wellness Tourism in Thailand” to be held on 17 September 2025 in Kuwait City. She reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to welcome Kuwaiti tourists, particularly in the area of health and wellness tourism, which continues to enjoy growing popularity. The Kuwaiti side expressed keen interest in further strengthening collaboration with Thailand, recognizing tourism as an important means of fostering closer ties and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
