On 14 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Songchai Chaipatiyut, Ambassador of Thailand, attended the ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK) meeting at the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam, chaired by H.E. Mr. Haji Sulaini bin Haji Said, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Kuwait and the current ACK chairperson.

During the meeting, ACK members discussed upcoming activities, including courtesy calls on high-level officials, sports events and site visits in Kuwait, aimed at strengthening ASEAN embassies’ engagement with relevant stakeholders and deepening understanding of Kuwaiti culture. In addition, the Committee also discussed recent developments including the results of the 48th ASEAN Summit and situation in the Middle East.

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also wishes to reiterate congratulations to the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam on assuming the ACK chairmanship for April – October 2026 and remains committed to continuing the close collaboration among ASEAN members.
