During 20-24 February 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait, in cooperation with SkillDevelopment Department and Office of Labour Affairs in Riyadh organised “Thai’s Skill Standard Potential Promotion Project Abroad” at the Embassy premises.

              This project gained a lot of interest from Thai community in Kuwait. 21 people passed the National Skill Standard Testing as Thai Cook Level 1. The programme started with the explanation of the objectives of the                  project and the preparation before theory and practice tests. The people who passed the tests received a certificate from the Department of Skill Development.

              This project cannot happen without excellent cooperation and coordination from Department of Skill Development and Office of Labour Affairs in Riyadh and especially, the Thai community in Kuwait. The project is                truly beneficial to Thais abroad. It helps to standardize Thai cooking of Thais in foreign countries, improve knowledge, understanding and potential in Thai cooking of the participants. And last but not least, it  helps                to enhance the opportunity for Thais who live abroad to have a career in Thai cooking in the future.
