On 9 August 2017, ASEAN Committee in Kuwait paid a visit to the CEO of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED). KFAED was established in 1961 to assist Arab countries and other developing countries on their economic development. The assistance comprises in the forms of both loans and funds. In ASEAN, Vietnam has 13 loan projects with KFAED, the most projects in the region. Thailand has received loans from KFAED in 5 projects.
