อุปทูตฯ ณ คูเวต เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ ดร. Hisham Kelendar ผู้ช่วยปลัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ฝ่ายบริการสุขภาพในต่างประเทศ ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่ง

เมื่อวันที่ ๘ กันยายน ๒๕๖๘ นางอุไรวรรณ กูร์โตด์ อุปทูตฯ ณ คูเวต ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ ดร. Hisham Kelendar ผู้ช่วยปลัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ฝ่ายบริการสุขภาพในต่างประเทศ ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่ง

ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านสาธารณสุขระหว่างไทยและคูเวต โดยเฉพาะการจัดตั้งระบบการส่งต่อผู้ป่วยระหว่างโรงพยาบาลเอกชนของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อเพิ่มทางเลือกที่หลากหลายและอำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่ผู้ป่วยชาวคูเวตที่ประสงค์เข้ารับการรักษาพยาบาลในประเทศไทย รวมทั้งหารือแนวทางในการแลกเปลี่ยนบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ เพื่อยกระดับความร่วมมือด้านการบริการสาธารณสุขให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

พร้อมกันนี้ อุปทูตฯ เชิญหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องของคูเวตเข้าร่วมงาน Rediscovering Health and Wellness Tourism in Thailand กิจกรรมของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ จัดที่โรงแรม Hilton Garden Inn วันที่ ๑๗ กันยายน ๒๕๖๘ ซึ่งสนับสนุนศักยภาพความเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านการแพทย์และสุขภาพ (Medical Hub) ของประเทศไทยในภูมิภาคที่พร้อมต้อนรับผู้ป่วยและนักท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพจากคูเวตและประเทศต่าง ๆ

On 8 September 2025, Mrs. Uraiwan Courtaud, Chargée d'Affaires a.i., paid a courtesy call on Dr. Hisham Kelendar, Assistant Undersecretary for External Health Services, upon her assumption of duty.

On this occasion, the two sides explored avenues to strengthen cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait, particularly through the establishment of a patient referral system between private hospitals of the two countries. Such a system would expand comprehensive options and provide greater convenience for Kuwaiti patients seeking medical treatment in Thailand. The discussion also touched upon the way forward for exchanges of medical personnel to further enhance bilateral cooperation in healthcare services.

The Chargée d’Affaires a.i. also invited the relevant Kuwaiti authorities to attend Embassy’s upcoming event, titled “Rediscovering Health and Wellness Tourism in Thailand”. This event will take place on 17 September 2025, in Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, Kuwait City, with the aim to promote Thailand’s potentials as regional Medical Hub and its readiness to welcome international patients and wellness tourists from Kuwait and beyond.
