The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait hosted a reception to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thai Father's Day on 5 December, 2025

On 2 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait hosted a reception to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thai Father's Day on 5 December, 2025 at the Regency Kuwait. The reception was presided over by Mrs. Uraiwan Courtaud, Chargée d'Affaires a.i., and H.E. Ambassador Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of Kuwait, as the Guest of Honour. It was also attended by more than 200 distinguished guests, including the Embassy’s officials and their spouses, Thai students and members of the Thai community in Kuwait, as well as members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organisations, Kuwaiti government officials, representatives of the Kuwaiti private sector, and the press.

On this occasion, the Embassy held a moment of silence to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, and presented a commemorative video before the official program began. In her remarks, the Chargée d’Affaires honoured His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother for their lifelong dedication and the royal initiatives carried out for the well-being of the Thai people. The Chargée d’Affaires also reaffirmed the longstanding and close ties between Thailand and Kuwait. For more than six decades since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1963, the two nations have steadily advanced cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and education.

The Embassy presented Royal Compositions by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at the reception, which created an elegant atmosphere and left a deep impression on the participating guests. In addition, an exhibition to showcase the royal initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother was also arranged, along with a “Chut Thai Phra Rajaniyom” photobooth in tribute to the Royal Grace of the Queen Mother.

The event served as an important occasion to pay tribute to the Royal Grace and benevolence of Their Majesties, and provided a platform to further strengthen the close ties between the peoples of Thailand and Kuwait, as well as to express appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation received over the past year. It also underscored the enduring friendship between the two nations, which will continue to flourish in the years to come.
