On 11 February 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait participated in the “UNESCO World Peoples’ Day Forum 2026”, organised by the Kuwait University at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, President of Kuwait University. Members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations, faculty members, and students also attended the event in large numbers.

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy set up a Thailand booth to showcase Thailand’s cultural diversity and national strengths across various dimensions, with particular emphasis on promoting Thailand’s tourist attractions and internationally renowned Thai cuisine. The Embassy also received valuable support from the Thai Student Society in Kuwait (TSSK) in organizing activities at the booth, which attracted continuous interest from visitors throughout the event.

The Embassy’s participation in this event forms part of Thailand's proactive cultural diplomacy efforts. The initiative aims to enhance cultural awareness and foster positive perceptions of Thailand among youth and the international community in Kuwait. Beyond promoting Thailand’s unique cultural identity, the Embassy’s participation in the event also serves as an important mechanism to strengthen people-to-people ties, laying a solid foundation for closer and more sustainable cultural exchanges and cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait in the future.
