On 24 November 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait participated in the “Middle East Luxury Trade Meet (MLTM) 2025,” organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at the Grand Hyatt Kuwait. Mrs. Uraiwan Courtaud, Chargée d'Affaires a.i., and Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, jointly delivered welcoming remarks at the official opening ceremony.

The event served as an important platform to promote tourism cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait. In her opening speech, the TAT Governor presented Thailand’s new tourism campaign, “Unforgettable Experiences — Healing is the New Luxury,” which reflects Thailand’s commitment to promoting value-driven tourism that emphasizes a shift towards meaningful and emotionally restorative travel experiences.

On this occasion, the Chargée d’Affaires a.i. underscored the significance of the longstanding Thailand–Kuwait relationship, now in its 62nd year, as well as the steady growth of tourism which played a vital role in strengthening both people-to-people and business-to-business connections between the two countries. Since early 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy has launched the Thailand e-Visa system, enabling travelers to submit visa applications anytime and from anywhere, thereby facilitating faster, easier, and more efficient travel to Thailand. The Chargé d’Affaires also emphasized the expanding cooperation in medical services and wellness tourism. In September, the Embassy recently organised the event “Rediscovering Health and Wellness Tourism in Thailand,” alongside activities promoting Thai cuisine and cultural programs that help deepen bonds between the peoples of both countries.

MLTM 2025 has further provided an opportunity for 18 Thai tourism operators to engage with more than 70 Kuwaiti buyers through networking sessions, business-matching activities, and briefings on the tourism market, as Thailand continues to remain a preferred destination for travelers from Kuwait.
