During the visit, the Young Ambassadors made a courtesy call on Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait. After that, Ambassador led the group to call on Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, Ministry of Education. Ambassador and Assistant Undersecretary discussed about the potential cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait on cultural exchange program of students of two countries. The Young Ambassadors also made cultural exchange activities with local students from Social Care Complex, Ministry of Social Affairs and the British School of Kuwait. During these visits, the Young Ambassadors gave presentation on Thailand and sufficiency economy and performed some cultural shows which included demonstration on ta-kro, Thai boxing, Khon as well as singing Thai and Arabic songs.

During their time in Kuwait, the Young Ambassadors visited important landmarks and places such as Kuwait Tower and Grand Mosque, Heritage Village, Souk Mubarakiya, Kuwait Oil Company Display Centre, Shaikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center and a farm in the desert area of Wafra. The Young Ambassadors also participated in the Embassy’s consular reach-out activities and had a fruitful discussion with Thai students who have received scholarships from the Kuwaiti government. Moreover, the Young Ambassadors visited Al Rai Media group where they had a good experience of going on air in a live programme. Their interviews were also featured in another Kuwait TV programme.

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue is an initiative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, helping to develop human resources, carrying out different youth activities, allowing Thai students to learn more about different cultures by giving them an opportunity to visit different countries where they can exchange visions and cultures with the local youth. The project does not only help develop the youth’s attitude and manner but is also a great means to strengthen relations between Thailand and foreign countries in the long run.
