On 5 December 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a reception on the occasions of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, National Day and Father’s day of Thailand at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The reception was graced with the presence of the Chief Guest, Ambassador Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of the State of Kuwait, and was attended by 300 guests from the diplomatic corps, Kuwait’s high ranking government officials, private sectors and members of the Thai community in Kuwait.

Ambassador Dusit gave a speech explaining the importance of 5^th of December for the Thai people. He also spoke about the growing relations between Thailand and Kuwait, Thailand’s chairmanship of ASEAN in 2019 as well as how much the Thai people have been impressed with the invaluable support from friends around the world for the rescue of the Wild Boar soccer team.

The demonstration of fruit and vegetable carving and Thai food corner were also part of the event.
