On 7 and 8 May 2018 respectively, Mr. Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Deputy Governor for Policy and Planning of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Ms. Niswan Watthanachan, General Manager and Mr. Pat Sanjan, Managing Director of In-Touch Research & Consultancy met with H.E. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait, during their visit to Kuwait to conduct a research project of the newly emerging tourism market in the Middle East countries. The objectives of this project are to study the demand and supply that have an effect on Kuwaitis’ travelling as well as the number of tourists and potential destinations for the targeted tourists. The Deputy Governor discussed with the Ambassador on the types of Kuwaiti tourists, activities that interest Kuwaiti tourists, factors that affect tourists from Kuwait and last but not least, how to promote Thai tourism in Kuwait.
Over 17,000 Kuwaitis visited Thailand in the first quarter of 2018, registering nine percent year-on-year increase.
