On 18 April 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy, in partnership with the Thai People Association in Kuwait, organised a 2014 Songkran Festival at Green Island.  Participants of approximately 450 comprised both Thais and foreigners.

The activities include the opening remarks by H.E. Ambassador of Thailand, the auspicious water pouring ceremony on Buddha image, the water pouring on the hands of revered elders, Thai food fair, traditional performances, games, and water splash.
